Innovation is not necessarily derived from an invention, it is not always the result of the “genius”, but the combination of method and creativity. About the “genius” it is significant what Thomas Edison said:
“The genius is one percent intuition and ninety-nine percent perspiration”
Method and creativity are the ingredients of innovation, but while it is obvious to everyone that the method can be studied (many schools have made it an object of study and dissemination), creativity seems to be a personal characteristic, linked more to natural gifts as artist that as technician.
In fact all we are creative and our creativity can be stimulated, directed and developed.
